I purchased this vacuum because I wanted something better quality for my house that had an attached hose to do corners and cobwebs. The biggest problem is that the hose is very stiff and each time you use it the vacuum falls over. You have to hold on to the vacuum and hose at the same time. So if you are considering this vacuum because of the hose forget it. The other big problem is wrapping the cord when you are done vacuuming. All better vacuums have an upper hook and a lower hook so you can just loop the cord around. This only has the upper hook which makes wrapping the cord back on a chore. It is light weight and easy to push around. It also does not take up much closet room. However, unless this vacuum has an exeptionally long life span it is not worth the money. I would not buy again.

It's a excellent vacuum for most tasks. I work as a janitor and use it in large 3000 square feet clinics and it picks up everything but large chunks of paper or paper clips. It outperforms professional equipment that cost $600 to purchase. This model has many great attachments that come in handy for cleaning many situations. I use the small motor brush to get fine hard to get hair from chairs that have fabric that isn't very easy to clean. For the home it's great for getting pretty much anything and everything. The only really big downsize is the power cord length is kinda short.

Panasonic MC-UL675 AeroSpin Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Dirt Sensor, Sherbert Blue

The saleswoman at my Best Buy store recommended this vacuum to me based on the previous Panasonic that they used to stock. I guess she figured that if the old one was so wonderful this new one mush be as well.I got it home and there were a few things that I really liked. The fact that it automatically adjusted for different carpet heights, the retractable cord and the fact that it said the dirt cup was anti-static so as to release the dirt easier when emptying. What I soon found out was that this vacuum has quite a few short comings. It is very top heavy. When standing up on carpet, the slightest touch will make it tumble backwards. The retractable cord which I was excited about ended up being rather short. I was not even able to vacuum my entire (average size) master bedroom without having to unplug it to finish. The lights that are supposed to tell you if they floor is clean or dirty are annoying and I think really just a gimmick. The turbo brush is really in an awkward spot on the handle and while pushing the vacuum in the reclined position, the hose continually falls out of the grove meant to hold it.I finally decided to return it and purchase a Healthy Home. To my surprise, it turned out that the Panasonic really wasn't even working to well. I was able to vacuum my whole house and the dirt cut was about 1/2 full. They next day when I used the Healthy Home, I had to empty it after only doing my family room.Bottom line, Don't bother with this Panasonic.

Miele : S163 Universal Mini Upright Vacuum - Black

*Note that the same model is available on Amazon for a different price, I'm not sure why.*The only difference between the S163 and S168 is the HEPA filter on the S168...I found it was significantly cheaper to buy the S163 and add the HEPA filer purchased separately. It is extremely difficult to find a bagged stick vac. For those of us with allergies (or just aversion to dust) "bagless" vacuums are not attractive. Dumping the dust bin re-releases lots of junk (especially the smallest, lightest particles) back into the air.I bought the Miele S163 simply because it was the only bagged stick vac I could find several years ago. I am thrilled with it. It has very strong suction and rolls easily across our hardwood floors. It does not blow or push around crumbs like many other vacuums, it actually picks them up on the first pass. The chamber is sealed and after several years of use the inside of the vac is literally like new, every speck of dust has been trapped in the bag or filter.Because I only use mine on hard floors, I find I don't have to change the bag more often than our large canister vac (which we use for carpets). Even very dirty hard floors don't generate nearly as much "waste" as carpets, and I generally change the S163 bag every month, even though it's usually not full. I have a cat and two Cheerio-eating children and use the vac at least once per day.Bottom line: this vacuum has kept my kitchen floor crumb-free for several years and shows no sign of quitting anytime soon.

“I almost didn't purchase another Miele because of my disappointment with the stick vacuum. ”
“It was actually heavier then then the canister and much harder to maneuver. ”
“It seems as if you have to be 6 feet away from what you are vacuuming to maintain the correct handle angle and keep the head on the floor. ”

Eureka VG-3 Electric Powerhead Rugmaster

The price via amazon was 33% lower than the competive website. ( A central vacuum specialty retailer website.) Also, it included a belt when the competitor did not include a belt. The product arrived exactly how it was advertised. My previous unit lasted 4 years. I expect this unit to last 4 years also. The beater bar over time will "egg out" its housing and can't be repaired. Be aware powerheads don't last forever. Also, it's advisable to purchase a couple extra belts to have on hand just in case. To get to amazon, click through the adam carolla website.

36 KIRBY GENERATION MICROFILTRATION VACUUM CLEANER BAGS

I know that Kirby recommends that you purchase their brand of bags for the Kirby sweeper. However, they are expensive. I use the larger size bags, and you can only fill them up so far anyway, and it seems like a waste of bag. I change my sweeper bag once a month. These seem to do the job, even though they are the smaller size.
