I just used this on my carpeted 13 step stairway and I am very pleased. Using the air driven turbo brush attachment it picked up all the pet hair with no problem at all. The 7.1 amp motor is very strong and the unit comes with a whole slew of attachments such as a 2ft hose, crevice tool, brush attachment, and a nice black bag to store the entire works in. It also has a carrying strap which you sling over your shoulder to hold it while you clean up.Emptying out the roomy collection chamber is a snap, and I was particularly thankful for the special mesh like cover protecting the Hepa filter which made removing the pet hair very easy. AND it's retractable cord is the cat's meow.My only complaint is the placement of one of the carrying strap ends which I feel should be placed further towards the front of the unit. The way the design is now the unit tends to tip forward too much which is annoying but I am sure I can rig something up to remedy this.All said I am very happy with this unit and it sure beats dragging my regular vac up the flight of steps.
