Have had numerous plastic models which always managed to get ruined by the kids. Broken handles and dented and cracked bodies from being used as a skateboard! Fast forward, kids have their own kids now and eldest grand is six. He is using the Dust Care metal sweeper as I type! His dad smiled and I said, no (he had that skateboard look again). I suspect the Dust Care would easily hold up to abuse by little ones though. The handle is a thick metal. Body is metal and looks like stainless steel. Three brushes to pick up cracker crumbs from the two babies too. Empties real easily and both bins big enough for the after baby mess feedings. Beats dragging out the upright more than once a day! Dust Care is a really well made product! Go buy one and let the kids at it. It's quiet since it has no motor.
