When my 1yo daughter got a high lead reading at her 1yo check up, we panicked and remediated the lead paint in our 1885 brownstone. We used this vacuum during the remediation and continued to use it for regular cleaning, to keep the lead dust from all the city traffic from entering our lungs upon cleaning. My daughter's lead score never went up again and my second child, born after the remediation, never had a high lead score. I am a sculptor and now use the vacuum to safely eliminate toxic ceramic dust. It works great, and other than the rubber handle cover popping off and being put back on occasionally, we have had no trouble with its operation.
