5.0 out of 5 starsThe best vacuum I've ever used.March 3, 2010
By Armando N. RomanTOP 1000 REVIEWERVINE™ VOICE
I've been a custodian for 4 years now, and my first week on the job, I was introduced to this beauty. There were a lot of vacpack vacuums we had- most of them smaller that just used velcro to secure around the waist, but the SuperCoach was the one that worked wonders. Its simple design, light weight and reach make this thing a godsend for nearly any vacuuming task, and it's so good, that I bought my own just 3 months into the job.The SuperCoach is worn like a backpack (hence the term 'vacpack') with the two straps on the front. You can also fasten it around your waist as well with the seatbelt-like straps, but I never use that portion mostly because of just how long the strap is. The black hose that comes out of the top of the vacuum connects to the two-piece metal wand and vacuum head. On the left side of the shoulder/waist straps there's your plug-in for the extension cord, and right next to it is the on/off switch. If you've never seen or used one of these before, you're going to need an extension cord for the SuperCoach since the plug-in cord is just a few inches long. Once you're set, switch this bad boy on and get vacuuming! The SuperCoach is much quieter than any 'regular' push vacuum I've used, and I can't see myself using one of those ever again unless my SuperCoach isn't available. It's strong, and sucks up just about anything you put it up against. Just be sure to only vacuum up practical things that won't damage the hose or bag inside (and of course, no liquids). It's light in weight, to me at least, and the only complaint I have is the size. It's not too big, but I feel they could've shortened it a bit and made it wider. That's just a very tiny nitpick of mine, and doesn't affect the rating at all. Everything about this vacuum is great, and you probably won't need another for a long, long time if you get it. The bags it uses hold quite a bit, and are strong as well, so you could just empty them in the trash, then reuse them one or two more times. To get the bags in/out, all you do is unscrew the purple lid, and the bag goes in there. I could kiss whoever designed this thing. Both my SuperCoach at home, and the ones I've used at work have never failed me. Whoever designed this deserves a medal. The only thing to watch out for when buying online is making sure that you're getting a deal- don't overpay just for the vacuum body. Some SuperCoaches are sold without the black hose, wand and various head attachments, but it should come with those. But as long as you get one, you'll be satisfied. I mean, look how much I'm gushing over a vacuum here!
