I have purchased two of these vacs. Early models were made such that the lower housing would quickly wear through where the springs for holding the handle upright contacted the housing. This has been improved in later production and the manufacturer will replace and repair this part under warranty. Another problem is lack of a strain relief where the electric cord exits at the top and the cord jacket breaks open within a few weeks of use. The only practical way to fix this is to replace the cord set which is not cheap. This is not covered under warranty. Don't buy until these issues have been resolved.
