Just purchased this vacuum today. We have a Panasonic upright vacuum cleaner which which was quite expensive when we purchased it a few years ago. About four months ago we added an English Springer Spaniel puppy to our household. She is a beautiful dog but sheds fur profusely. My wife felt that our Panasonic wasn't really up to the cleaning job. After reviewing results from a leading consumer magazine we decided to go with a bagless cleaner. We found a highly rated model from Sears and planned to purchase it next week. In the meantime, we met a lady at our local pet store who also owns the same type of dog. After exchanging stories she told us she had purchased this Eureka cleaner at a local store for less than $100. She said it was the best vacuum she has owned to date.We then purchased one and cleaned our family room rug and carpet and were blown away by the amount of dog fur in our so-called clean carpet. We then used our Panasonic in our bedroom first, followed by the Eureka. Again, the results were amazing. The Eureka picked up a huge amount of dog fur, dust and lint after the Panasonic dust sensor indicated the carpet was clean.
