love the way it glides across my hardwood/tile and low rugs. one thing i liked about this vacuum was the type of rubber wheels it has. they are not the plastic type that will scratch up the hardwood or clunk loudly as i pull across my tile floors. the body of the vacuum cleaner is surrounded by the same type of rubber, giving the vacuum a rubber bumber, so that it doesn't scratch/mar my walls or furniture when i pull it forward. the power suction is supreme! i love to vacuum while the sun shines on the floor and i see all the dust being vacuumed UP, not swirling around the air like my last vacuum. i also like the long hose and the low profile vacuum head made for hardwood floors. the vacuum head gets under every piece of furniture i have, even the side table with 3" clearance and the hose allows me to clean under both couches without having to drag the canister too close and have it be in the way. the hose is so much nicer than pushing and pulling an upright vacuum around. i was also done with bagless vacuums. ick. i paid $40 for 25 replacement oreck bags. i'm fine with that. and the electric cord is great being so long. i plug it in once, in the middle of my 1400 sq ft house, and it reaches every room. nice! and it's not very loud. my compact dirt devil is twice as loud! nice top handle for easy pick up. i don't like pulling it by the hose too much while vacuuming, but just assume that's the same for all canisters. i just hope the hose attached at the body is strong enough to not break, but it glides so nicely i don't think there is much pulling going on anyway.one thing i'm not crazy about is the carpet head attachment. the suction keeps it tight against my low profile rugs (which is nice) but i'm not able PUSH through around the edges of the large rugs or even my small mats (i have to step on the mat to keep it in place). i can PULL the vacuum head towards me ok, but then i'm doing a series of picking up the head, placing it 3' ahead, pull back, repeat, repeat, repeat. kind of a pain. but all other likes definately outweigh this one dislike. besides, i think oreck makes a different carpet/rug attachment i will try.i would recommend to anyone with hardwood or tile floors. it really rolls like a dream.
