I own a carpet cleaning company and we use these vacuums exclusively. They have very good suction, and are built like tanks. They can take a lot of punishment, and are also pretty easy to fix on the fly if a belt or something breaks. They do have some weight to them (which is good and bad), but overall, I highly recommend these. They do also make conversion kits if you want to go to a bag system to eliminate some dust during emptying.
