I bought the CV280 to replace a 20 year old, 2 motor Filtex central vac power unit. Our old unit was awesome, the suction was unbelievable and I was expecting to have a hard time replacing it with something affordable but just as powerful. I did tons of research online and decided on the Imperium CV280. Really, it sounded too good to be true for the price. Boy was I wrong, it not only lived up to my expectations, but surpassed them!! This thing is powerful!! We have a 2000 sq.ft home and this unit has more than enough power. It almost has too much! The brush attachment almost gets stuck to the floor the suction is so strong. My mother-in-law just built a house and bought a $500 Hoover central vac and it barely works better than her broom. This is a great product at an amazing price!!
