I bought this vacuum because I wanted one that works on both carpet and bare floor. It works very well on both of those surfaces. I don't have pets, but the pet hair attachment is great for my doormats. The product is not too heavy to carry, and it comes with excellent attachments. The light on the front also works extremely well and makes it easy to see in dim/unlit corners. I am very satisfied with this vacuum.
